As more Google searches are now on mobile than desktop computers, marketers are redefining their digital strategies. Your customers are making decisions based on the mobile content they retrieve.
According to Google in this recent Search Engine Land, mobile searches can be classified as:
Actions (purchases, booking, visiting etc.) are more likely to happen
immediately or very soon after the search. Understanding this massive shift in consumer behaviour going mobile, raises the importance for companies to place accurate and relevant information about local places, things to do, buy, or know about. Local search is more important than ever.
Some telling stats:
86% of smartphone users use a search engine when looking for a local business
66% of smartphone users turn to their phones to look up something they see in a TV commercial
There was 2 times increase in “near me” searches in the past year
82% of smartphones users consult their phones while in a store deciding what to buy
Do you have physical locations for people visit or buy from you? If so, I can’t think of a quicker way to increase sales through both web visits and footfall.
